We have an immediate opening for a high-caliber Senior Web Application Interface Developer with strong ASP.Net skills to join our growing engineering team in our headquarters office in the West Loop of Downtown Chicago.

The candidate for this role will be equally comfortable defining the architecture as he/she is doing hands-on implementation at the presentation tier of a Web 2.0 application using senior-level CSS, HTML and JavaScript. We work in a best-of-breed application framework environment that includes a mix of Java (JSP/Spring/Hibernate), .Net 2.0 and Ruby on Rails and familiarity with at least one of these frameworks is required. We seek a candidate with at least 2 years of front end development experience on the .Net platform and 6-10 years of overall web application development experience using one or more the above mentioned technologies.

The ideal candidate for the position will have good visual design skills, and attention to detail in implementing polished web applications, but this is not primarily a design job. We are looking for front end engineers who enjoy the software engineering challenges of building the presentation tier of complex and high performance decision support tool.

As a senior member of the team, you will be expected to work with UI designers and product management and help provide engineering input into the application design process. You will also be expected to keep up with technology trends, mentor junior members of the team and drive architecture, coding standards and technology adoption for the front end. Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively as part of fast paced, talented team of engineers is a must.

Demonstrate strong knowledge of the following technologies:
+ ASP.Net 1.x and 2.0
+ (X)HTML
+ JavaScript and DOM Scripting
+ Web page design layout using CSS 2 and Web standards
+ Cross platform/browser compatibility
+ Adobe Photoshop
+ Macromedia Flash

Familiarity with the following is desired:
+ AJAX using AJAX.Net, JQuery or Prototype

Candidate should have:
+ Minimum of 6-7 years experience in web application interface development including experience with dynamic data driven web applications.
+ At least 2 years of demonstrated experience with ASP.Net.
+ Portfolio of work and sample URLs.
+ Ability to meet tight deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment with highly skilled peers.
+ Flexibility with work schedule as the changing pace of multiple projects and demands dictate.
