As the QA Lead you will be responsible for quality assurance of the publically available Company's ‘beta’ system and leading testing of one of Company's wireless software products. You will interface with product managers, product development, and support team. You will be responsible for managing test projects through the full life cycle of development, including reviewing requirements and specifications, scoping to determine what resources are required, test planning, design, review and execution.
Responsibilities:
Manage testing, software upgrades and quality of service of the Company's beta system used by thousands of early adapters
Defining, implementing and maintaining a coherent, progressive testing strategy for Company's beta system
Manage the day-to-day activities of the test project team: define test assignments, track test results, mentor junior testers.
Provide reliable estimates for test cycles; ensure that your team meets all project deadlines.
Develop test strategies and plans, oversee the creation and execution of test cases, manage test resources.
Gather and analyze test results; provide status and reports to Program Management.
Interview QA candidates and assist in hiring decisions.
Required Qualifications:
3+ years experience leading test teams, experience mentoring junior testers.
5+ years experience testing web applications and/or wireless products.
Experience scoping projects and developing test plans.
Team player attitude a must with the ability to effectively communicate with cross functional teams.
Proven experience working successfully with offshore teams
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Excellent troubleshooting skills
Experience with Windows 95/NT/2000 and UNIX development.
BS in Computer Science or equivalent.
Desired Qualifications:
Experience testing mobile application running on phones based on Windows Mobile, Palm, Brew and Symbian operating systems.
Experience testing email, calendar and contact applications integrating to Microsoft Exchange, Lotus Domino and other email server supporting standard protocols IMAP, POP and SMTP.
